About ThinSky
Enterprise-grade security with open source economics. Canadian owned and operated.
Our Mission
We believe every organization deserves enterprise-grade security, regardless of budget.
Legacy security vendors charge premium prices for capabilities that open source projects deliver for free. The tools exist. The expertise to run them is what's missing.
ThinSky bridges that gap. We take the best open source security tools—Wazuh, Teleport, Velociraptor, OpenVAS—and deliver them as managed services with the support and expertise that enterprises require.
Canadian Values
Headquartered in Canada. Data sovereignty matters. Your security data stays where you need it.
Why We Started ThinSky
After spending years building security programs at enterprise companies, we saw the same pattern: massive budgets going to vendors delivering marginal value.
$200k/year for a SIEM that's hard to use. $150k for EDR with false positives nobody triages. $50k for vulnerability scanning that generates PDF reports nobody reads.
Meanwhile, open source alternatives were catching up—and in many cases surpassing—commercial products. We built ThinSky to make these tools accessible to everyone.
Our Values
Open Source First
We believe in the power of community-driven security. Open source means transparency, rapid innovation, and no vendor lock-in.
Fair Pricing
Security shouldn't bankrupt your business. We price our services to deliver value, not extract maximum revenue.
Outcomes Over Outputs
We measure success by threats stopped, not dashboards delivered. Results matter more than activity reports.
Partnership
We're an extension of your team, not a vendor relationship. Your success is our success.
Knowledge Transfer
We teach as we work. Your team gets smarter, not more dependent on us.
Canadian Pride
Built in Canada, for Canadian values: privacy, trust, and doing the right thing.
